పూరగంభీర శాంత కాసార చిత్ర
హృదయములలోని గాటంపు నిదురచాయ
లందు నెడనెడ గ్రమ్ము

సంధ్యావసాన
సమయమున నీపపాదప శాఖి కాగ్ర
పత్ర కుటిల మార్గముల లోపల వసించు
ఇరుల గుసగుసల్ వానిలో నిపుడు నపుడు
.
వినబడుచునుండు
మరికొన్ని వేళలందు
వానకారుమబ్బుల మెయివన్నె వెనుక
దాగు భాష్పమ్ము లామె నేత్రములలోన
పొంచుచుండును
.
ఏదియొ అపూర్వ మధుర
రక్తి స్ఫురియించుకాని అర్థమ్ముకాని
భావగీతమ్ములవి

In her eyes,

There are the dark delicate shades of the infinite expanse of the blue sky;

The still reflections in the pure crystal waters of a silent swelling lake are scattered here and there;

The susurrations at dusk of the settling darkness, lying amidst the umbrage in the crown of Cadamba, are heard now and then;

And on other occasions,  tears rearing behind the black nimbi of the rainy season  lurk behind them;

Though they ring some sweet exceptional haunting chants in mind, they are still, indecipherable rare romantic melodies…
